Lagos, 6th February 2009Subscribers on the Etisalat network are sure of extensive talk time this valentine season
with the ongoing Etisalat ‘9javaganza valentine promotion’. The
promotion includes an offer of N200 free airtime upon activation of new
lines and 20% bonus on all recharges made with N500 and above for both
new and existing customers. Customers are also due to enjoy 20% discount
on all calls made from their selected homezone.
Explaining details of the promo, Chief Marketing Officer of Etisalat
Nigeria, Wael Ammar, said: “When our customers and potential customers
recharge with N500, their talk time will be credited with N600. N1000
recharge card will get them N1, 200 while N2, 000 and N5, 000 recharge
cards will get them N2, 400 and N6, 000 respectively. For us, there is
value in sharing our most precious commodity, time, with loved ones
especially during this season of love and way beyond”.
Ammar further stated that every new subscriber on the network
technically gets the SIM for free. “A newly activated Etisalat SIM
bought for N200 comes with N200 free airtime, which is equivalent to the
cost of purchasing the SIM. The subscriber walks away with his new SIM
and N200 airtime on his phone”.
Not only do subscribers have opportunities to acquire new lines for free
and get free airtime for recharging with a minimum of N500 in the
9javaganza promo, they also get 20% discount on all calls made from the
area they select as their homezone.
“Both new and existing subscribers will still be able to make discounted
calls in any location they chose as their homezone. This is therefore
really a 3-in-1 value offer for our subscribers at this time. In
addition to this, the free airtime can be used to make calls or send
text messages to any network of their choice”, Ammar said.
Breaking down the accruable benefits to the subscriber further, Ammar
explained that “a 1 minute call from a subscriber’s homezone would
normally cost only N24. If he loads N500 recharge card, his balance at
the end of the call would be N576. And if he bought a new SIM, recharged
with a N500 card and made the call from his homezone, he would have a
balance of N776 after making a 1 minute call. At the moment, there is no
better value per minute of call on the market”.

Pays, Missed Calls Notification and Recharge Others.
