Dubai, 22nd February 2009.Etisalat today received an
award at the 3rd Middle East Customer Care Excellence Awards, organized
by the Middle East Excellence Awards Institute. This award was presented
for Etisalat’s high quality of customer service which met the highest
international standards.

H.E. Mohammad Omar, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Economic Development
Department presented the award to Etisalat’s Chief Corporate Affairs
Officer, Nasser bin Obood during the 7th GCC Government and Business
Customer Care Conference which is taking place this week at the Burj Al
Arab.
The judging panel selected the winners based on many factors including
quality, meeting international standards and their ability to use the
most modern services in their customer care effort. The Awards are held
to promote excellence, best practices, and innovation in customer care
and service and to showcase its vital importance in the regional
economy.
Etisalat continues to offer the highest levels of convenience for
customers through all of its retail and customer care operations. These
include 46 business centres and sales outlets and a 24 hr customer
contact centre which includes the latest in interactive voice response
(IVR) technology.
Etisalat recently launched an eSupport package, which can be downloaded
from the Etisalat Web site. This helps customers with Internet problems
quickly identify a solution, and removes the need to visit a business
centre or use the customer care centre. This is part of Etisalat’s
quality commitment to deliver the highest possible customer service.
This award complements other titles that Etisalat has earned, especially
in customer care. Etisalat has been named Best Operator in the Middle
East five times in the last three years and was recently named Best
International Carrier in the world at the World Communications Awards.
Etisalat today is numbered amongst the largest operators in the world.
