Subscribers Throng Etisalat Outlets for SIM Registration
Lagos July 7, 2011: Etisalat Nigeria has stated that there has been a surge of subscribers seeking to register their SIM cards at Etisalat experience centres, distribution partner outlets and SIM registration outlets nationwide following the introduction of the 9ja Free Credit Promo on June 1, 2011.

The promo which was recently extended to July to allow all unregistered subscribers participate was designed by Etisalat to reward all prepaid and postpaid customers with 30% free credit up to a maximum of N10,000 to call any network in Nigeria when they register their SIM within the promo period. If a subscriber recharges a total of N300 in 30 days, he gets N90, for N500 he gets N150 and if a subscriber recharges up to N30, 000 and above, they get N10, 000. Upon registration, all recharges from first recharge are monitored for the next 30 days and the day after their 30th day, a 30% bonus of all recharges will be credited to a subscriber’s account as bonus.

According to the Chief Commercial Officer, Wael Ammar, “Our June SIM registration promo has seen huge numbers of our subscriber base register while new subscribers are joining us and taking advantage of the opportunity to register and enjoy the 30% bonus credit we’re offering. Subscribers who registered in June have now begun receiving their 30% bonuses. We are quite encouraged with the feedback from our customers which shows their belief in our ability to continue to deliver best value to them for a life. It is also a clear indication that they are impressed with our products and services to date; and we use this opportunity to re-affirm that we will continue to offer superior innovative products and services as our customers remain the centre of our business.”

To enjoy this offer, all new subscribers to the Etisalat network need to ensure that they first activate their SIMs by dialing 200 and thereafter register their SIMs and begin to recharge as much as they like. Newly registered subscribers during the month of July will have their recharges accumulated and 30 days from their first recharge, they will be credited with 30% of the value of their recharge. The reward will apply in the month of August. It will be valid for 30 days and it can be used to call and send SMS to all networks in Nigeria. For example, if you register your SIM on the 15th of July, all recharges between 15th of July till 15th of August will be monitored and 30% bonus will be given on the 16th of August.

The bonus is open to all Etisalat prepaid and postpaid subscribers on easy starter, easycliq, elite world, classic post paid and enuff yarn+ who are yet to register their SIMs. All subscribers who had registered their SIM cards as at June 30th and benefitted from the promo already are no longer eligible.

The Etisalat SIM registration promo is geared towards making sure all its customers are registered before the NCC’s deadline of September 2011 in order to avoid the mandated disconnection of all unregistered SIMs from the innovative 0809ja network. While duly registered subscribers who recharge during the month qualify for the bonus, SIM registration is an ongoing process. Etisalat currently has more than 2000 SIM registration points in all its experience centres nationwide, distribution partners’ outlets and designated Oceanic Bank branches. Etisalat customers can visit www.etisalat.com.ng or call 200 to check the SIM registration outlet nearest to them.
