Lagos January 29, 2010: In celebration of the valentine season, Etisalat has announced the return of its unique 9javaganza promo that offers new and existing subscribers on its network the opportunity to enjoy free airtime to call friends and loved ones during weekends from the 1st February to 31st March 2010. To maximize the amazing benefits of the offer, Etisalat subscribers need to encourage friends and family to pick up Etisalat lines so they can get full advantage of the free on-net airtime during the period of the promo.

The 9javaganza valentine promo is coming on the heels of the free bonus-on-recharge promo which offered new and existing subscribers on the Easy Starter and Easy Cliq packages for bonus on every recharge made on the network. It is also in demonstration of the continued commitment of Etisalat to truly give back and appreciate its fast growing subscriber base.

Chief Marketing Officer, Etisalat Nigeria, Mr. Wael Ammar explained that the 9javaganza valentine promo ensures that subscribers are rewarded with half of the cumulative amount they spend during the week, for free calls during the weekend. According to him, “If a subscriber spends four hundred naira during the week, that is, Monday to Friday, he will be credited with two hundred naira free credit for on-net calls during the weekend. With this promo, the more a subscriber talks during the week, the more airtime he enjoys to make free on-net calls during the weekend.”

Wael noted that Etisalat is offering this promo to give its customers a special treat during this season of love and at the same time reward them for their patronage and loyalty. “We are aware of our esteemed customers’ need to reach out to their family and loved ones during this season and we are committed to helping them to achieve that. We know that this is a period the subscriber would like to express love to the people that matter most to them. He urged all Etisalat subscribers to show love this season by giving the gift of Etisalat SIM cards to their loved ones who are not yet on the Etisalat network so they can fully enjoy speaking the language of love especially on all weekends during the promo. Etisalat SIMs can be purchased from any Etisalat Experience Centres or dealer shops around Nigeria.

The valentine promotion is another innovative promo Etisalat has unveiled in its just over one year of operations in Nigeria. In November 2009, 20 year old medical student, Kizito Egeonu, won the one million dollar grand prize of the company’s 9jillions promo. Currently and until 21 February, subscribers can also enjoy two months free subscription to the Blackberry Internet Service if they buy any of the Blackberry phones available on the Etisalat network.
