The Smartphone is fully customized for Etisalat and promotes the etisalat/FC Barcelona partnership.

2. What is the Android operating system?

Android OS is a Google based operating system which allows users to enjoy fast internet connection, access various emails, allows for more friendly user interface, access to over 60,000 free application to download from the android market and access to various social networking sites etc

3. How much can I buy the Huawei U8180 (Gaga) Smartphone package?

The retail selling price is N13,999

4. What is included in the package?

The package consists of the Gaga Smartphone and an etisalat prepaid SIM card.

5. What is etisalat offering with the Gaga Smartphone?

Cheapest call rates of 20 kobo/sec to all national network with no access fee for a period of four months.
Free monthly 50MB data for four months (Total of 200MB free data).
Subsequently, subscribers can continue to enjoy 20kobo/sec after the 4th month upon the purchase of a data plan.
For subsequent months; the call rates will be valid for the same period as the data plan purchased by subscriber i.e. weekly data plan will grant access to cheap call rates of 20k/sec for one week.

6. How do I subscribe for this offer?

Upon purchase of the Gaga Smartphone package, subscribers will activate and register the pre-bundled SIM card found in the package
Upon successful activation and registration; the subscriber can either request to be provisioned for the offer at the point of sale in any etisalat experience centre or send an SMS with the word “gaga” to 8180

For existing subscribers that purchase the package and will like to use their existing lines that have been successfully registered on the network, the subscriber can either request to be provisioned for the offer at the point of sale in any etisalat experience centre or send an SMS with the word “gaga” to 8180.

7. Can I subscribe for the offer more than once on the same Gaga Smartphone?

No, a subscriber can only be provisioned with the offer on one SIM card per Smartphone.

8. What happens if I do not purchase any data plan after the 4th month?

Subscribers will no longer enjoy the cheapest call rates of 20kobo/sec and will revert back to the default tariff (50kobo/sec).
At this point, subscriber can sign on to any other tariff plan of their choice being offered by etisalat

9. Is the Huawei U8180 (Gaga) Smartphone locked to etisalat network?

Yes. It is network locked to the etisalat Nigeria network, and will not work with any other network e.g. Glo, MTN or Airtel.

Etisalat is offering a full 12 months warranty cover on all the Gaga Smartphones sold
The warranty cover commences from the date of purchase of the device
If the device is faulty and is still within warranty; a complete replacement will be given to the customer
For accessories, a 6 months warranty cover applies from date of purchase of the device
For all out of warranty case; etisalat will assist subscriber to repair faulty Gaga smartphone at a cost to subscriber
All faulty cases should be directed to any etisalat experience center for support
