1. What is new about Bonus on Incoming Calls?

Bonus on Incoming Calls (BOIC) has been introduced to Easy starter subscribers. Subscribers get 1 free minute to make calls to all networks for every 3 minutes call received from any network apart from Etisalat. BOIC already exists on Easy Cliq, here, users accumulate bonus on every call received and the bonus minutes can be used to call members of their cliq. The major difference between Bonus on Incoming Calls on the new recharged easy starter and easy cliq is that while easy cliq members can only use their free minutes to call their cliq, easy starter subscribers can use their bonus minutes to call any network in Nigeria.

2. How does Bonus on Incoming Calls work?

For every 3 minutes of calls you receive from other networks within a month, Etisalat offers you 1 free minute. However, calls received from other Etisalat lines or from international destinations do not qualify for this bonus on incoming calls bonanza on easy starter.

3. Does it mean that each call I receive must be up to 3 minutes before I can qualify for the bonus?

No. The 3 incoming minutes can be accumulated over a period of time within a month. For example, if you receive 1 minute of call on day 1; 45 seconds of call on day 2 and 1 minute 15 seconds of call on day 3, you get 1 free minute on day 3 provided day 1, day 2 and day 3 are within the same calendar month. However, if day 1 and 2 are within the month of July but day 3 occurred in August, no bonus will be granted on the 1 minute 45 seconds accumulated in day 1 and day 2; you must receive a total of another 1 minute 45 seconds of calls in August to make up 3 full minutes within the month before you will receive the 1 free minute bonus on incoming calls.

4. Can I use the free minutes to call other networks?

Yes. You can use the free minutes to call any network in Nigeria. However, the free minutes cannot be used to make international calls; neither can it be used while you are roaming. You also cannot use the free minutes for SMS or other data uses.

5. How long are my free minutes valid for?

The free minutes you receive are valid for 7 days from the day you receive them. You can accumulate bonus minutes. The accumulated bonus will be valid for 7 days from the day the last bonus is granted.

6. How do I know if I have bonus minutes?

You can find out if you have bonus minutes and how much bonus minutes you have by dialing *232#. You will receive an SMS telling you the number of bonus seconds you have. However, if you receive do not receive an SMS immediately after dialing *232#, it could either mean that you have exhausted your bonus minutes or your bonus minutes have expired. If in doubt, please call the Etisalat customer care helpline on 200 from your Etisalat number.

7. What do I need to do in order to enjoy this service?

Nothing. There is no subscription nor any costs to the subscriber. The service is free and is available by default for all easy starter subscribers. If you are not yet an Etisalat subscriber, simply buy an easy starter SIM, register it and begin making and receiving calls and you will enjoy all the benefits on the newly recharged easy starter package including bonus on incoming calls.
