It has come to our attention that unknown persons are sending fraudulent SMS messages with the name “etisalat” fraudulently used as the purported sender.

These messages advise recipients that the persons responsible for the messages are associated with etisalat Nigeria and claim as follows:

“Congratulations! You have won! =N= 2M in on –going
Seasonal RECHARGE & WIN Promo with ACTIVATING CODE:0411.
CALL 182 or helpline 08097402792.etisalat!”

etisalat Nigeria did not send these SMS messages and is not associated in any way with the persons distributing these fraudulent SMS messages or with the promotion described in the fraudulent SMS messages.

Members of the public and recipients of these fraudulent SMS messages are therefore advised to disregard such messages and avoid being defrauded.
